Dear Inner Child is a reminder to remain grateful and proud of how far I have come, while taking a moment to reflect on where my journey with dance first began.

My time abroad taught me a great deal about myself and the realities of the professional dance world. It showed me that I do not need to suffer in order to succeed, and that I should not force myself to fit into spaces where I do not feel at home. Sometimes, the journey of growing as an artist also means learning to listen to yourself and recognising where you truly belong.

At the heart of this project is the idea of caring for our inner child. Keeping that part of ourselves feeling loved, safe, and happy can influence how we move through the world and how we connect with those around us. Sometimes, looking back at where we started is exactly what allows us to keep moving forward.

The video project was created with the support of AI-assisted editing, including the creation of a realistic younger version of myself. Through this project, I wanted to explore how AI can be used as a supportive creative tool rather than a replacement for human expression. By combining personal memories, movement, and AI technology, I aimed to create an emotional and personal visual experience that connects my younger self with the person and artist I am today.
